Privacy Policy
Last updated 9 October 2026. Piggle keeps as little about your family as it can, never sells it and never shows ads. This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run Piggle, and how to see or delete your data.
Who we are
Piggle is run by Staff Pilot Pty Ltd (ABN 49 688 884 871), Edwardstown, South Australia. In this policy "we" and "us" mean Staff Pilot Pty Ltd trading as Piggle. Our privacy officer can be reached at hello@piggle.com.au.
Piggle is a pocket money record book. It never holds, stores or moves your money. Real money stays in your own bank accounts.
What we collect about parents
- Your email address, first name and password. Your password is stored scrambled by our sign-in provider and we can never see it.
- Your family name, timezone, payday reference word and email notification choice.
- The records you create: kids, jobs, rates, approvals, goals, interest and matching settings.
- When you agreed to our terms, with a scrambled form of your internet address, so we can show consent was given.
- The email address of a second parent you invite.
- If you subscribe: your plan, its status and renewal dates. Stripe handles your card. We never see or store card numbers.
What we collect about kids
See Children's Privacy for the short version.
- A first name and birth year. Never a surname, full date of birth, school or address.
- A picture chosen from Piggle's own set. Kids cannot upload a photo of themselves as their picture.
- A PIN, stored scrambled.
- Their jars, jobs, invoices, goals and notes.
- Job photos a kid adds as proof. These are deleted automatically 14 days after they are added.
- Goal pictures, if a parent or kid adds one.
Optional features
- Family devices and notifications. A parent can link a family tablet or phone with a 6-digit code. If you turn on notifications, we store the device's notification token so we can send them.
- Gift links. If a parent shares a gift link, the person giving enters their first name, a message and the amount they plan to give. Piggle does not take payment for gifts.
- Bank matching (coming soon). If you turn it on, you will connect your bank through Basiq with your consent. We receive account names, masked account numbers and transactions so Piggle can spot your pocket money transfers. You can disconnect at any time.
- Classroom mode. Teachers sign up with their email and name. Students are added by first name only and use pretend money.
What we do not collect
No location, contacts or advertising identifiers. No advertising, analytics or tracking tools run in the Piggle app or on this website. The one exception is link clicks in our marketing emails, explained below.
How we use it
To run Piggle for your family, send the emails you have chosen, manage your subscription, keep accounts secure, answer your questions and fix problems. We do not use your family's data for advertising, and we never sell it.
Our marketing emails
If you are on our mailing list, we keep your email address and, if we have it, your first name. When you click a link in one of our marketing emails, our email provider Resend records that the link was clicked and when, so we can see which emails are useful. We do not track whether you open our emails. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and once you unsubscribe we stop sending them. Emails about your Piggle account, such as receipts and weekly reports, do not track clicks.
Who helps us run Piggle
We share information only with the services that run Piggle, and only what each one needs:
| Service | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Lovable and Supabase | Host the app, database and sign-in | United States |
| Cloudflare | Delivers the website securely | Global network |
| Stripe | Takes subscription payments | Australia and United States |
| Resend | Sends Piggle's emails, and records link clicks in marketing emails | United States |
| Apple and Google | Deliver notifications, if you turn them on | United States |
| Basiq | Bank matching, only if you turn it on | Australia |
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Storing information overseas
Some of these services store information in the United States. We choose services with strong security, and we stay responsible for how your information is handled.
Keeping it safe
Each family can see only its own records. Information is encrypted when it travels between your device and Piggle. PINs and passwords are stored scrambled, and photos are stored privately. Only parents in your family can see job and goal photos.
How long we keep it
- Job photos: 14 days.
- Your family's records: while your account is open.
- If you delete your family: it is hidden from everyone straight away. To have it permanently erased as well, email hello@piggle.com.au and we will do it within 30 days.
- Billing records: kept for as long as Australian tax law requires.
See, fix or delete your data
You can download all of your family's data or delete your family at any time from Settings in the parent area. You can also email hello@piggle.com.au to ask for a copy of your information, to correct it or to delete it. We will reply within 30 days.
Browser storage
Piggle uses your browser's storage to keep you signed in and to show the last numbers when you are offline. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Questions and complaints
Email hello@piggle.com.au. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date. If a change affects how we use your family's information, we will email you first.
